I was shown this video from one of my high school teachers. He posted it on Facebook and commented on it, “to most of my former students…you know who you are.” I thought it was pretty dead on. Some of it may be a bit extreme to most of the hipsters I know, but all in all, I believe they nailed it. Have a laugh and check it out.

As many of you know, I am a traveler at heart. It is what I love to do. Nothing fills me up more than taking a suitcase of clothes and jet-setting to a foreign land. I love the thrill of having no idea whom I’m about to encounter and what I am about to discover.

Definition of a Hipster

What the heck is a Hipster? Is it a hip-monster? A new revolution? A bad 80s pop band? And what the heck do these two guys below have to do with anything? And Good Lord, WHY are their glasses so huge?

Whether you like it or not, Hipsters are a part of our culture. It’s important that all of us (oldster or hipster) understand and be knowledgeable about our culture. Why is it important? Because it means when can relate to our people better. (Just FYI…that was very un-hipster of me to need to “relate” to “our people”).

Seriously, a ‘Fan Page’?

Seriously? How conceited can you get? Why in the world would you ever create a ‘fan page’ on Facebook? Ugh. People who create one are just way too wrapped up in themselves. I mean come on, how many people are really asking you to be their friend that it is necessary for you to create a ‘fan page’?

Joy Ride
